Gabriel Goodwin, an anesthesiologist with a history of mental health issues took his own life Friday evening.
Dr. Goodwin, who suffered from serious depression, jumped off the roof of Montefiore Medical Center just hours after purchasing a large hunting knife and a shotgun.
The weapons were found in Dr. Goodwin's car at the scene.
Gabriel Goodwin was just 35-years-old.
