The Mets dropped the season finale against the Dodgers 8-0 tonight at Citi Field. The Dodgers completed a season sweep if the Mets going a perfect 7-0.
Steven Matz struggled again as he lasted just five and a third innings allowing five runs on six hits. He walked a pair, but did strike out seven. Cody Bellinger crushed his 32nd home run of the season in the seventh, a two run shot off Josh Smoker.
Offensively the Mets did nothing against Hyun-Jin Ryu who allowed just one hit over seven dominant innings. He struck out eight.
