The family of a 12-year-old New Jersey girl who committed suicide is planning a lawsuit against the Rockaway Township school district.
Dianne Grossman alleged that school officials didn’t do enough to stop other kids from bullying her daughter Mallory.
“She just talked about how horrible it was at school and that it was the dirty looks and the constant harassment and the name calling and the cold shoulder. The exclusion, I think, played an important role in all of that,” Grossman said.
The night before Mallory took her own life, Grossman said she confronted the mother of one of the bullies. Grossman said the other mother thought it was a joke and an overreaction.
Grossman called her daughter an “all-American little girl” and said she didn’t want this to happen to any other children.
