LISTEN: Conforto leads Mets to victory over Seattle

It was a back and forth affair between the Mets and Mariners in Seattle, but New York would end up victorious with a 7-5 win.

Jay Bruce started things for the Mets with a two run homer in the first inning, and New York would have a 4-1 lead through 4 innings. In the 5th Mets starter Rafael Montero would falter, eventually allowing Seattle to take the lead when Kyle Seager drove in two runs to take a 5-4 advantage.

The Mets would come storming back as Michael Conforto would hit his second home run of the game in his homecoming to Seattle to tie the game at 5. Later in the 8th inning, Neil Walker and Curtis Granderson would each single in a run to put the Mets up 2.

Paul Sewald and Addison Reed each pitched scoreless innings to close out the game for the Mets. Reed earned his 19th save of the year.

The Mets and Mariners play game two of the three game set at 4:10 Saturday. Pete McCarthy has "Mets On Deck' beginning at 3:05
