Officer's Brian Coffey and John Maderik saved a grandmother and grandson from a burning home in South Ozone Park Queens yesterday.
The officers were patrolling the neighborhood when they saw flames ripping through the home. Maderik and Coffey busted through the front door and found the 56-year-old grandmother and her toddler grandson in the upstairs apartment of the home.
The two officers then returned inside the burning building to alert the first-floor residents.
Officer's Maderik and Coffey are both members of the 106th Precinct Neighborhood Coordination program.
