Another Hot Day in NYC

New Yorkers are once again dealing with a hot and muggy day.

Temperatures on Thursday will reach a high of 95 with a heat index near 100.  A heat advisory is in effect until 8 p.m.

Mayor Bill de Blasio is urging people to check on their elderly neighbors and offered some advice for New Yorkers.

“Stay hydrated.  Stay indoors.  If you don’t need to be outdoors, it’s a good day to stay indoors.  Stay in air conditioning if you can,” de Blasio said.

This is the expected to be the second of three consecutive days with temperatures in the 90’s.  Cooling centers are open across New York City.
