Christie Says He Wants to “Smack” Cuomo

Governor Chris Christie is voicing frustration with Governor Andrew Cuomo for using the phrase “Summer of Hell” to describe Amtrak repairs at Penn Station.  It was thought that the repair work would lead to a nightmare commute.

“I don’t think you’ve seen the kind of thing that Governor Cuomo predicted.  I’m going to smack him for the ‘Summer of Hell’ comment.  We should be more disciplined than that, but nonetheless, Andrew made the comment so we’ve got to live with it,” Christie said.

NJ Transit and Long Island Railroad were forced to change their schedule because of the Penn Station repair work.  Despite the warnings from Governor Cuomo and others, the commute has largely been free of problems.

Repairs will continue until September.
