The Mets made it two wins in a row thanks to a 9-3 rout of the Rockies tonight at Citi Field.
Seth Lugo picked up the win as well as his first major league home run which he launched in the bottom of the third inning to give the Mets a whopping 8-0 lead. Jay Bruce drilled a three run blast in the first and Jose Reyes capped off the offensive onslaught with a solo shot in the eighth.
Yoenis Cespedes did leave the game with a hip injury on an awkward slide out in left field.
The Mets will have Steven Matz on the mound on Sunday afternoon as they look for a sweep of the Rockies. 'Mets on Deck' will be live from the Citi Field plaza at 12:05 pm.
