LISTEN: Mets Romp Rockies 14-2

The Mets kicked off the second half of the season with a 14-2 romp of the Colorado Rockies behind another dazzling performance by Jacob deGrom. 

deGrom struck out eleven while allowing just two runs, one earned, on four hits over eight innings. He is now (10-3) this season. He helped himself at the plate as well driving in a run and scoring a run on a two for four night at the plate. Michael Conforto fresh off his first All Star Game appearance hit a 3-run home run and drove in four runs, while TJ Rivera and Asdrubal Cabrera both drove in three. Jose Reyes when three for five and Yoenis Cespedes was four for six in the Mets win.

Seth Lugo will get the ball in the second game of this three game set. Pete McCarthy will kick off WOR's coverage live from the Citi Field plaza at 6:05 pm with 'Mets on Deck'.
