After winning seven of eight including four in a row, the Mets slipped this afternoon falling 7-1 to the Phillies at Citi Field.
The Phillies scored four runs off Mets starter Rafael Montero in the second inning and then three runs in the top of the eighth which was more than enough against a Mets team that put up just two hits all afternoon. TJ Rivera hit a home run in the loss.
The Mets will begin a three-game set with the Nationals beginning Monday at 6:05 pm, coverage on WOR will begin at 5:05 pm with Pete McCarthy and 'Mets on Deck'.
