LISTEN: Cabrera's 7th Inning Homer Enough for Mets 7-6 Win

On Asdrubal Cabrera Bobblehead Day, Asdrubal Cabrera hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to give the Mets a 7-6 win over the Phillies this afternoon at Citi Field.

Zack Wheeler struggled only lasting three and two-thirds allowing two unearned runs which were due to an error he made attempting to complete a double play. Fernando Salas surrendered a 3-run home run to Tommy Joseph in the top of the seventh, but TJ Rivera hit a solo shot in the bottom half of the frame. Then Wilmer Flores drove in Travis d'Arnaud to cut the Philly lead to 6-5 before Cabrera's big blast.

There would be a short rain delay in the top of the eighth before Addison Reed would come on for a four-out save. Lucas Duda also hit a solo home run and scored on an RBI double by Jose Reyes in the win. Before the game the Mets placed Michael Conforto on the 10-day DL with a wrist injury.

The Mets will look to sweep the Phillies with a win on Sunday afternoon. Coverage on WOR begins at 12:05 pm with 'Mets on Deck'.
