Marianne Benjamins-Williams was charged with attempted murder, strangulation, and assault, after she allegedly stuffed a baby wipe down the throat of an infant.
The child was rushed to the hospital after it developed breathing problems while under the baby-sitters care.
Doctors performed emergency surgery on the baby and discovered a wadded up baby wipe lodged in the child's throat.
Authorities first thought that the child's 14-month-old sibling may have accidentally placed the wipe in the infant's mouth, but later determined a child that young doesn't have the strength or dexterity to stuff an item that far down someone's throat.
Ms. Benjamin-Williams pled not guilty to the charges and is being held on $100,000 dollar bail
