The Mets took the first game of a doubleheader this afternoon vs the Atlanta Braves 6-1. Robert Gsellman picked up the win tossing six and two thirds innings of three hit, scoreless baseball.
The big story was the return of Yoenis Cespedes who hit a ninth inning grand slam to put the Mets ahead 6-1.

In game two it was the return of Steve Matz that was the story as he was terrific allowing just one run on five hits over seven innings. He picked up the his first win in his first start of the season. Jay Bruce and TJ Rivera hit home runs and Juan Lagares drove in two on a ninth inning 2-run double to put the Mets ahead 8-1.
