Officer Dragged by Car in Brooklyn

A New York City police officer remains hospitalized in critical condition after being dragged by a vehicle in Brooklyn over the weekend.

Officer Dalsh Veve and other plainclothes officers were investigating reports of shots fired on Saturday night in East Flatbush.  Veve began questioning the driver of a Honda sedan when the driver allegedly took off in the area of Tilden Avenue and 53rd Street.  The 35-year-old officer was dragged for a couple blocks and managed to fire at least one shot.

Vive was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

A 15-year-old later showed up at Brookdale Hospital with a gunshot wound.  It’s believed he was struck by one of the shots fired by Vive.

Two others have also been arrested in connection with the incident.
