A Hell's Kitchen resident is in critical condition at Bellevue Hospital after falling 70 feet.
Police reports say that the unidentified 19-year-old man had stepped out of his 7th-floor apartment onto the fire escape to have a cigarette. After finishing the smoke the young man tried to climb back in to his apartment window but lost his balance and fell.
The man survived the fall but the multiple fractures and severe head trauma left the man in dire condition.
