Chris Herrmann's Walk-off 11th Inning HR Ends Mets 0-6 Road Trip; Losing Streak at 7

The Mets disastrous road trip has mercifully come to and end, but not before one last brutal blow. The Diamondbacks walked off the Mets 5-4 in 11 innings thanks to a walk-off solo home run from Chris Herrmann.

The loss was the seventh in a row and capped a horrific 0-6 road trip. The Mets got off to a good start this afternoon when Michael Conforto hit his tenth home run of the season to give the Mets a 2-0 first inning lead. It would be short lived as Matt Harvey's struggled continued. Harvey went five and a third allowing three runs on six hits, but he walked four on ninety-five pitches.

Robert Gsellman came on to pitch the seventh and allowed the Diamondbacks to tie the game at four on a Yasmany Tomas RBI double. The game would remain locked at four until Herrmann won it for Arizona in the 11th.

The Mets will welcome the Angels to Citi Field on Friday night. Coverage on WOR begins at 6:05 pm with Pete McCarthy live from the Citi Field Plaza.
