Brewers Score 8 in the Fifth and Rout Mets 11-4

The Mets woes continued tonight in Milwaukee as they fell to the Brewers 11-4. The Brewers score eight runs in the bottom of the fifth turning a 4-2 Mets lead into a 10-4 Brewers advantage.

Kevin Plawecki drove in two runs on a 2-run second inning double, and Neil Walker homered for the Mets offense. Robert Gsellman got the start for the Mets and did not have his best stuff. Gsellman allowed 5 earned runs on 9 hits over just four innings. The bullpen did not help him out as Hansel Robles allowed four earned runs on four hits in one inning of work.

The Mets have now lost three straight and will look to salvage the final game of the three-game set on Sunday at 2:10 pm. Coverage on WOR begins at 1:05 pm with Pete McCarthy & 'Mets on Deck'.
