Murad Hamedallah is convalescing in St. Vincent Medical Center after accidentally shooting himself in the crotch Sunday night.
Toledo police were called to the scene after Mr. Hamedallah was found screaming and writhing in the street. According to police reports, the man was injured when he attempted to get out of his car with a loaded gun tucked in trousers.
The gun went off sending a bullet through the man's penis and his right thigh.
Mr. Hamedallah originally told police that he was shot by someone else.
No charges have been filed.
