Obviously, the MTA doesn't base their employee's pay on customer's satisfaction.
The MTA paid out 971 million dollars in overtime pay in 2016 up 4% from 2015. At least eight employees raked in an addition $200 grand on top of their base salaries.
Ralph Golden put in the most overtime hours working as a track foreman on the LIRR.Golden's base pay is $104,271 but when you tack on his $256,155 dollars in overtime pay he earned a total of $360,978 dollars.
That's over $14,000 dollars more than the Chairman and Chief Executive officer of the MTA.
