At least two crooks hit the mother lode when they robbed a Queens home on 77th Avenue in Kew Gardens yesterday afternoon.
The thieves ransacked the house before discovering a closet safe that reportedly contained 80 thousand dollars' worth of gold bricks, 50,000 dollars in cash, and two handguns.
The victim called the cops when he returned home from work and found his front door kicked in.
Police believe the crime involved at least two suspects because of the weight of the haul.
