NJ Transit is warning commuters to expect delays until further notice because of ongoing maintenance work by Amtrak.
Estimated delays will be 15 minutes on weekdays and 30 minutes on weekends as Amtrak performs work that will lead to speed restrictions.
The warning from NJ Transit follows problems at Penn Station on Tuesday caused by a disabled Amtrak train and power problems in an East River tunnel. NJ Transit, Amtrak and Long Island Rail Road all experienced delays.
The LIRR is running normally on Wednesday.
