Cop Gets Bit Executing Search Warrant

Officers from the NYPD Queens South narcotics squad were serving a search warrant in Far Rockaway early this morning when a pit bull charged and bit a detective's left leg.

The officer's partner pulled his weapon and fired a shot at the attacking animal but missed.

The mauled officer was taken to Jamaica Hospital to have his large bite wound attended too.

Neither the inhabitants of the apartment or the attacking dog were arrested.
