New York City Police are looking for a gunman who opened fire near Battery Park on Monday, injuring two people.
The male and female victims were innocent bystanders who were walking along Washington Street around 3:30 p.m. There was apparently an argument going on nearby when shots were fired.
The woman was shot in the ankle, while the man was hit in the torso.
“We’re looking into everything,” NYPD Chief William Aubry said.
