The Newark, New Jersey Police Department received an anonymous emergency call last night after a man was found lying on the ground with foam coming from his mouth.
As police attended to the ill man and investigated the surrounding area another 10 people were found to be suffering from the same symptoms.
A witness told the police that the ill people had been seen using synthetic marijuana, also known as K2.
K2 has been connected with several hallucinatory incidents in NYC and New Jersey over the last 18 months.
Newark Police have yet to locate the distributor of the dangerous drug.
