Michelle Sharpe, a 10-year NYPD veteran officer was arrested early this morning on charges of assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
The trouble unfolded on East 107th in Canarsie, Brooklyn when officer Sharpe allegedly attacked a family member in front of two children under the age of 5.
Police reports indicate that Sharpe repeatedly punched a female in-law in the face and stomach in front of the victim's children.
The children were not injured in the street fight, but both were crying and upset when police arrived.The victim was treated for minor injuries and released from Brookdale Hospital.
