Victor Sheppard, an African-American delivery driver claims he was given a gift that was so racially offensive and threatening that he felt compelled to bring it to the 6th Street Precinct house.
Mr. Sheppard alleges that while making a delivery at Ottomanelli Bros. Butcher Shoppe, he was given a rope noose.
Sheppard claims that Joe Ottmanelli handed him the noose and said "Here's your present" and "You can use it when you're stressed and need to end it all."
No charges have been filed but the NYPD is looking into Mr. Sheppard's accusations.
