The Mets begin their season on Monday afternoon against the Atlanta Braves.
Noah Syndergaard will take the mound at Citi Field for Opening Day. Syndergaard is hoping to build on the 2016 season where he won 14 games and posted a 2.60 ERA.
There are high expectations for the Mets this season, following two straight playoff appearances. They lost in the Wild Card game to the San Francisco Giants last year after falling to the Kansas City Royals in the 2015 World Series.
