14 Injured in Brooklyn Fire

Fourteen people have been hurt, including two critically after a fire in Brooklyn.

It broke out in the Flatbush section around 9:30 on Thursday night.  Flames shot out of the seven-story apartment building on East 26th Street before it was brought under control and then extinguished.

Two of those injured were brought to Kings County Hospital and are listed in critical condition.  The other victims suffered minor injuries

Fire officials believe the fire began in a third floor apartment, but they haven’t said specifically how it ignited.
