Security Increased in NYC After London Attack

The New York City Police Department has increased security at the British Consulate and other key locations after a terror attack in London.

“I talk about what keeps me up at night.  It used to be traditional crime and now a lot of that has to do with terrorism,” Police Commissioner James O’Neill said.

Heavily armed counterterrorism officers are stationed around the city.  The NYPD said the action wasn’t the result of a credible threat.

Three people were killed and 40 were injured in London on Wednesday when an attacker drove his car into a group of people on the Westminster Bridge.  He then slammed the vehicle into the gates of Parliament.

The man was killed by police after attacking an officer.
