Subway Attack Puts Man In Intensive Care Unit

The Transit Police and the NYPD are scouring video surveillance cameras near the Columbus Circle Subway Station in an attempt to find the suspect who shoved Jose Barrios down the stairs leaving him unconscious.

Mr. Barrios suffered facial fractures and bleeding on the brain from the assault.

Witnesses say they heard the suspect yell, "Get The Eff Out Of The Way" and then saw Barrios tumble down the stairs.

Barrios wife Laura said her husband doesn't remember much, just that when he came too he was surrounded by cops.

Metro Card records show that Mr. Barrios swiped his card at 12:36 am and was found by a transit work at 1:00 am.

Mr. Barrios is in the intensive care unit at New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center.
