Blizzard warnings were canceled in New York City and other nearby areas Tuesday, but the Tri-State area wasn't spared heavy snowfall.
Winter Storm Stella, which was expected to hit New York City dead-on, ended up taking a more northern path. The storm is expected to leave New York City with between 4 - 8 inches, while it'll be hitting northern New Jersey and much of New York's Hudson Valley with between 18 - 24 inches of snow.
States of emergency are in effect in New York and New Jersey. A travel ban is in effect in Connecticut.
