"Death of the Bodega" was created for an Urban Policy class at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering. The goal of the project is to explore the effects that Urban Renewal and Gentrification have on Downtown Brooklyn. We created a song and video to express the project's message.
We recently presented our project to the Historic District Council of New York City and it was met with great feedback and opportunities to push the project forward. Currently, we are planning to create different videos focusing on different areas of the city. We will continue to combine music, news and statistics in order to convey our message and bring the idea of preservation to the public.
