Cuomo Promises to Find Person Behind Museum Threat

Governor Andrew Cuomo says a threat made against the Jewish Children’s Museum in Brooklyn is “immoral,” “unethical” and “illegal.”

He visited the museum on Eastern Parkway on Thursday after an email warned that pipe bombs were planted at the facility.  The NYPD responded to the scene and nothing suspicious was found.

“This is one of the cruelest ironies yet in this rash of anti-Semitism that we’ve been experiencing.  This is a museum that is a monument to tolerance,” Governor Cuomo said.

Cuomo promised that authorities would find the person responsible for the threat.  There have been more than 100 such threats made against Jewish institutions around the country this year.

“This is a situation that is repugnant to the concept of the state of New York,” Governor Cuomo said.

Mayor Bill de Blasio also visited the Jewish Children’s Museum.
