Winter Storms Heading Towards New York City

A winter storm is expected to bring wind, rain and snow to the Northeast Friday.

Winter Storm Reggie is expected to be fast-moving storm that will create travel problems for the morning commute.

Rounds of snow will begin late Thursday night and continue through Friday, reports the Weather Channel.

The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories, watches and warnings in portions of the Northeast, including New York City and parts of Pennsylvania and southern New England.

And while temperatures in New York aren't expected to be cold enough for snow to stick, Reggie is expected to be followed by at least two more winter storms into next week.

A second system is expected to affect mainly the Midwest and the Southeast over the weekend, while a third storm could reach parts of the Northeast by next Tuesday.

The Weather Channel says the details of the latter storm are likely to change over the next few days.
