George Yates picked the wrong time to jump the turnstile at the Yankee Stadium subway station yesterday.
The 16-year-old fare cheater made his leap and ended up face to face with an off-duty court officer.
When the Brooklyn Supreme Court officer tried to corral the teen and make him pay his fee, the young man became violent and punched the officer several times in the face breaking the officer's jaw.
The officer was able to pepper spray the teenager and subdue him until reinforcements arrived.
The young Mr. Yates was charged with assault.
