A grandmother who was knocked out in October outside a deli in Jamaica, Queens, has died.
Eve Gentillon, 69, died on Friday, according to ABC 7 New York.
NYPD is likely to upgrade charges against the suspect, 28-year-old Richard Springer, at his next court hearing on March 3.
Police say it was Springer who was caught on surveillance video walking up to Gentillon on Sutphin Boulevard and hitting her once in the head, knocking her out cold.
Gentillon was taken to the hospital where doctors discovered she had a brain hemorrhage.
Springer was later arrested.
