NY State plans on blowing up the decrepit Kosciuszko Bridge in the next few months.
The 78-year-old span covers the Newtown Creek via the BQE.
Governor Cuomo released a statement that reads: demolition crews will dynamite the old bridge saving the state money and time.
The first phase of the new bridge cost $550 million dollars.
The second phase is supposed to be opened by 2020
