Immigrants across the country will protest Thursday as part of a demonstration being called “A Day Without Immigrants.”
People will skip work and school today in protest of President Trump’s travel ban. The idea is to show how immigrants impact the economy and everyday life in the United States.
In New York City, a protest is planned in Battery Park. Demonstrations are also planned in New Jersey, with people expected to gather in Newark, New Brunswick and Lakewood.
The idea for the protest started on social media and quickly spread.
