Judge Patricia Gallaher of Family Court has ordered a drug addicted mother of 4 to not get pregnant again.
The woman identified in court records as Brandy F. has 4 children all being raised by other people.
Judge Gallaher said: "this is exactly the kind of case where the respondent neglectful mother should be using birth control."
The Judge also ordered the Department of Human Services to cover the cost of birth control expenses.
The order includes a provision to not jail the woman if she does become pregnant.
Brandy F. admitted to using crack, methadone, and alcohol while pregnant with her last child. She also told the court she had worked as a prostitute.
