A former mobster who was doing time in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center is suing the facility for an injury he suffered while playing Ping Pong.
The attorney for Tommy Gioeli claims his client fell because of a leaky slop sink.The accident occurred in 2013 and left the mobster with a broken kneecap.The $10 million dollar lawsuit cites the government for negligence.
Mr. Gioeli is currently serving out his 18-year sentence for racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder charges at a facility in North Carolina.
