The executive order banning Iranian Nationals from entering the country has caused NY Governor Andrew Cuomo to step in and offer help to an Iranian infant in need of emergency medical care.
The parents of 4-month old Fatemah Taghizadeh had made arrangements to meet with doctors in Oregon so their infant daughter could undergo a heart transplant.
Their trip was cancelled because of the new travel ban.
Gov. Cuomo said: “An exception should be made. If Oregon has an issue, New York will provide care.”
Cuomo spokesperson Rich Azzopardi released a statement saying: If the plane lands in New York the Governor will personally make sure the child gets the health care she needs.
