Nation Panics As Bacon Shortage Looms

Rich Deaton, President of the Ohio Pork Council says that Americans can expect bacon prices to rise as farmers across the land race to keep up with demand.

According to Mr. Deaton bacon reserves have reached a 50 year low.

Farmers are producing more pigs than ever but still can't keep up with the consumer's needs.

Deaton assured bacon lovers everywhere that the pork industry will not run out of the crispy delicious product, but warns folks that the cost of bacon will rise until bacon reserves are back at a safe level.
