New Jersey Governor Chris Christie says the rollout of the travel ban was “terrible.”
“I think the president’s intention here is right. His intention is to try to protect our country from terrorist attacks from people who mean to do us harm. However, I’ve always believed you need to make those decisions based on intelligence, not on generalizations,” Christie said.
President Trump signed an executive order last week that restricted travel for refugees from seven countries that are predominantly Muslim. On Saturday, there seemed to be confusion at the airports as the policy was instituted.
“The rollout of this executive order was terrible. The right people were not involved or consulted,” Christie said.
