A person was struck by a No. 1 train during the Wednesday morning rush hour, city officials reported.
The subway hit the victim at the W. 96th Street station just before 8 a.m., reports the NY Daily News.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to Mt. Sinai St. Luke's Hospital in serious condition.
Service for the 1 train in both directions was suspended between 96th Street and 137th Street for about 20 minutes.
