Four House Democrats made their way down to El Salvador to continue to push for the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia after he was deported from the United States by the Trump administration. Abrego Garcia was first visited by Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, as he was living in Maryland for the last 13 years, before the representatives from Arizona, California, Florida, and Oregon made the trip. Nicole Malliotakis, United States Representative for Staten Island and South Brooklyn, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about what she feels are the Democrats’ misguided priorities.
“The Democrats always have to be on the side of lawlessness; they always need to be the side of illegal immigration,” Malliotakis said. “We had to go to court three times to stop non-citizens from voting in our elections.”
Malliotakis can’t understand why Democrats are putting so much effort into Abrego Garcia: “They’re tripping over themselves to go to another country to meet with an illegal immigrant who had been deported, who has alleged gang ties.”
