If you have some old technology that you no longer use and you’re not sure what to do with it, Apple has the answer for you. The tech giant is offering rewards such as discounts and gift cards in return for your old phones, laptops, iPads, etc. Rich DeMuro, host of ‘Rich on Tech’ on WOR Sunday nights, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the recycling program and what to do before trading in your devices.
“If you have the tech know how to factory reset them [you should],” DeMuro told host Larry Mendte. “If they don’t charge up or turn on…[they] will guide you to get your data off of there.”
DeMuro talked about what you get in return for your devices, and what happens if they’re not worth anything: “You can either get a gift card for the trade in value of the thing you’re bringing in… if it qualifies; if not you can just leave it there and they’ll take it off your hands.”
