The end is finally in sight on the 2024 Presidential election. With all the poll numbers in except the one that officially counts on Tuesday, political pundits are pouring over the most recent information to predict if Donald Trump or Kamala Harris gets to be called “Number 47”. Former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino broke down one possible scenario on the Rob Astorino Show, which can be heard Saturdays from 4-5pm on WOR. He appeared on 710 WOR’s Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning program to lay out what he feels is the most logical ending to the 2024 Presidential election.
“I think the final tally is going to be Trump 302, Harris 236,” Astorino prognosticated for Berman and Riedel. “That could move a little bit, because I gave Wisconsin to Harris and Michigan to Trump; that could flip. [Democrats] throw in this junk poll in Iowa that they didn’t even lift how they weighted it. There is no way Trump is losing Iowa. Nebraska, they just had a poll that the Republican incumbent Senator in a state that Trump wins by 20 is only up 2 to an independent. There is no way that is even close. She’s going to win by ten or more.”
Astorino expanded on the logic behind his reasoning. “Just think of it this way; it’s very easy. Trump only has to hold- now, he lost four years ago- he only has to hold the states that he won in a losing year and pick up Georgia and Pennsylvania, and he wins. Georgia is, at this point, I think, a given that he’s going to win, based on the turnout so far, based on the fact that Democrats are not coming out in the numbers that they should and in the areas they should. Pennsylvania- not only was I on the ground there, but I’ve talked to a lot of different people around the state. They’re feeling more and more confident that even Dave McCormick could win that Senate race and that Trump is going to win.”
