Council Minority Leader Says Look For Governor Hochul To Be Primaried

Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with Joe Borelli, the Minority Leader of the New York City Council and he Represents NYC's 51st Council District about Governor Hochul.

Borelli said, "Governor Hochul will almost certainly be primaried. She is not good at being governor. I don't say that to be personally insulting, she's just not good at pulling the levers of Government as well as Andrew Cuomo or any of those who came before her.

"Who will the Democrats choose as their champion, could it be Tish James she's had her eye on Gracie Mansion for quite a while, could it be the resurgence of Andrew Cuomo?"

When asked who the Republicans have that could challenge Hochul Borelli said "Lee Zeldin who almost won the last election, will he run again we don't know. There has been talk of Bruce Blakeman from Nassau County. He'd be a great gubernatorial candidate. He's been great with property taxes, he's great on social issues, and he has genuinely improved the third-largest county in New York State. So, I can see him in the mix as a really strong candidate."
