Did Harris Cover Up Biden's Decline? One Congressman Says Absolutely

It’s been one week since Kamala Harris stepped up as the presumptive Democrat front-runner for President, and the same Democrats who despised her then can’t stop heaping praise on her now. Her detractors, however, have only grown more steadfast in proclaiming the reasons why Harris would be a disaster as America’s commander-in-chief. US Representative Anthony D’Esposito (NY-4th) is among them.

Speaking on 710 WOR’s Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning program, D’Esposito says there is one issue in particular that serves as a warning why she should not be the 47th President: political chicanery. “I think one of the questions she’s...going to have to answer is why she was the lead in the cover-up of Joe Biden being prepared to be the President of the United States. I mean, she was one of his defenders over and over again, saying that he’s sharp, he’s articulate, she’s never seen anyone so sharp running this country, and then within a 48-hour time frame after the debate, all of a sudden, not only can he not run for President, but the real question is, if he can’t run for President- if he’s not able and doesn’t have the mental capacity to run for President-  then how is he going to serve as our commander-in-chief for the next four months?”

D’Esposito also thinks the sudden bump in approval of and donations to the Harris campaign is fleeting. “I don’t buy it. I think that we’re going through a small honeymoon phase. The fact is that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are one; they are part of the same administration. The failures of the Biden-Harris administration are the failures of Biden and Kamala Harris. I mean, right now, people are celebrating that Joe Biden is not at the top of the ticket after he was, without a doubt, forced off the top of the ticket… but nonetheless, now Kamala Harris is going to have to answer for the issues that are facing the American people.”
