Mayor Adams kicked off the summer pool season in New York City by making a personal revelation.
If I get in my swimming trunks and dip in, it would be a scandal story, so I'll just use the pool in the private setting, Because I wear Speedos," Adams joked.
The mayor was at the Astoria Pool, where a $19 million renovation was completed. It's one of 50 public pools across the city that are now open for the summer.
"It is hot this summer, but we're going to cool down in our pools," Adams said.
